Need help finding boots online

Submitted by Catmama on Tue, 10/14/2008 - 2:10am.

Ok, I'm in love with these boots

Photobucket

but,
a. the calf circumference is 15" (I'm measuring at 16) and

b. the price is ouchy (but if they fit, I'd splurge for these babies, they'll last a looooooong time)

So, I'm trying to find a similar boot (color, heel, shape) in maybe a lace up? Or wider calf.

Anyone good at researching boots? Bored?
Eye-wink
Thanks,

i bought these.

in the *saddle* color and they fit AMAZING! I may be tempted on getting the pink ones now too, but will wait for budget.

As far as the above Fryes I will covet them until I get some calf shrinkage and then I will do what I can to earn those bad boys.

Thanks for the feedback.

I would be all over those pink ones if I had the scratch!

i have a pair of basic brown "riding" boots from jcrew, and notice that they now offer the extended calf

I like the cowgirl boots, and they aren't all sh*t kicker pointy toed either.

(I live in TN, and see a good many cowgirl/boy boots)

and if you are worried about calf size, those might be perfect (and less expensive)

Yeah, I agree, about the Fryes if you can get them to fit right and can afford them. Those look like the ones I looked at through Frye Boots, but I decided on the cheaper ones.

I also just looked at that Urban original site, and they are super cheap. Like if you want long lasting I don't think that is the right site. Having written that, I found two pairs of boots that I'm gonna get one is $23 and the other is $24. Even if they last just a season, that's so inexpensive!

I had mentioned them in your previous post about boots. Are these fryes. I think so worth the splurge because they do last forever!

The boots posted are Fryes and they run about $300 bucks. LOVE them, but I would not be able to get my leg in em' (until I whittle and inch or so down in calf size).

I wonder what the calf circumference is?

googling Urban Originals. They have some BEAUTIFUL boots, and you can enter specific things your looking for (size, colour, height..)
There are about 8 pairs of boots that I'd love from them...
