I haven't posted in forever, but I was just telling someone how I've been "on" here for over 4 years and I got nostalgic. I don't have a big diatribe on one single subject, but for anyone wondering what's up with moi

1. been going to co-op preschool with 9 month old R and 3 y. 10m M, and we love this new source of mama, toddler, and baby friends. The nicest group of parents with relatively the same parenting goals as me. We'll do this for at least another year, if not two. meets Tuesdays for class and Thursdays for field trip

2. letting dd watch N*ggin right now so i can blog this, and this show i've never watched is on, two completely looney gravity defying australians in a room with a bunch of doors, an overexaggerated way of talking.

3. trying to declutter life following the One drawer a Day philosophy. otherwise it's overwhelming. one shelf, one box, whenever I can. There's a growing garage sale pile too.

4. ds has 3 teeth! he's very active, loves to climb and wrestle. no first word yet, just a lot of well placed mama and dada's

5. dd is hilarious and can communicate everything so well. she's so social and good natured. she always says these nonsequitors to strangers that I find so ballsy and confident of her

6. english muffins are back! in the house after a long absence. toasted with butter currently. so is pudding. these random things you like to eat but wind up forgetting to buy for a long time

7. 5th wedding anniversary coming up with dh

8. tshirt business going ok, but I wish it would just explode. next month should be awesome bc of Austin City Limits; tourists=shoppers and we're in a couple of major stores, including the main indie record store downtown

9. rain... it's so nice after endless 100 degree weather

10. maybe i'll still get green beans from the garden. only rosemary, oregano and some basil was left. the tomatoes totally disappointed me this year, when i had planted more than ever. i think it's time to totally renew the soil with all the good stuff from my compost bin that i haven't used yet. 3 years worth of good compost in there.

now off to the kitchen to clean for the night.... at midnight... sigh. the baby already woke for 2 unusual extra nursings...
