like it when i make big batches of granola/muesli and he takes it to work with yoghurt and fruit. He also requests tabouli (yeah!, it's finally tabouli season) and brown lentil salad with grated cabagge, carrots, apple and raisins.

I have been at loss and consequently buying lunch too much, which I don't like to do!
Thanks!

soups (I keep cans/boxes in my desk and then heat them up or bring big batches of homemade and keep them in the fridge all week), leftovers, big bags of my own homemade salad with dressing (I just keep dressing in the fridge and the salad separate), I also keep a loaf of bread and then peanut/almond butter and jam/honey in the fridge, fruit, dried fruit/nuts, fruit salads, big thing of yogurt with a box of granola or cereal to mix together when needed, etc, etc...and I second the grain salads idea -- again, you can make a big batch and then eat it all week. Oh, and I keep a thing of miso paste in the fridge as well.

and PS, I am disorganized lately and have absolutely, exactly none of the above on hand in my office!! Sticking out tongue

All of the grain salads, rice & bean dishes, etc. reheat pretty well. As do oatburgers, I've discovered.

I also really love baked potatoes for lunch--I usually just bring whatever I'm topping it with in a little container on the side, or bring the salsa jar to work, etc. I don't like to cook them in the mic at work, but it is possible! I bake them at home five at a time and eat them with different toppings for a week. Cheap, healthy, pretty quick, filling...good all around!

of brown rice, tossed with a little sesame oil and topped with a stir fry of tofu, broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, etc, and a couple dashes or tamari sauce. it reheats really well, but if you use the sesame oil on the rice it won't stick and you can eat it cold, too. this really fills me up and keeps me going all day. and it's yummy!

It's tomato season! I just had a yummy sandwich on wheat with hummus, fresh tomatoes, romaine, black beans and onions. LOTS and lots of tomatoes. Yum!
