Looking for Koi images 4 tat

Submitted by Catmama on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 3:43pm.

I have a consult tomorrow with a tat artist to start my sleeve. I'm looking for some Koi images. What I'm trying to find are koi with a more *softer* face, less authentic Japanese style face. (which tend to look more masculine).

Anyone have any links?

TIA

I got scads of tattoo ideas searching on flickr. Just put in the search box what you are looking for, odds are someone has put up pics of their tattoos like that:

Hey Catmama ~ I have looking for koi images as well and have been disappointed so far actually. I feel like I've seen what I want, but now I can't find it to show someone. Do you have an artist? I've been looking for an artist - the one's that do koi "well" here that I've found are great, but I'm not seeing what I want. Its very frustrating.

Are you here in Los Angeles (or near?)
I have to run out the door, but I'll PM you his info/link. I like the idea of meeting and talk/going over ideas before the actual work. I will not pick flash off the wall, but will bring in flash ideas for him to work with. I personally believe a good artist can do most work (unless you're getting into portraits). The bigger goal is sorting through the hacks (which, sad to say are a pleanty) HOWEVER, the tattoo craze in the last decade has brought out a lot of talented art students who, once given the practice, seem to do well on skin.

More later.
