hey mamas, i'm checking in from FL right now! we flew down on sunday from NH; the flight could've gone worse but it definitely wasn't terrific. we had a layover in DC and boarded our second plane at 2:30 that afternoon, and we were stuck on the runway for 2 1/2 hours before we took off. BLECCHH. that's never happened to me before, figures it has to happen the first time i'm travelling with the monkeygirl. she wasn't too bad, but i do have bruises on my stomach and crotch from her standing in my lap and trying to jump off of me. y'ouch. she was cute, though, once the plane finally took off; she kept looking out the window and saying 'oooh, pritty ca-louds,' and 'oooh, fly so high' (copying me!).
we spent sunday and monday nights at my grandparents' house celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary-- holy shit, that's alotta years!! we've been watching old family videos from the 50s and 60s when my dad and aunts and uncles were growing up-- all i can say is times have changed, ladies! the videos are so 'wonder years', and it's cool to able to watch history unfold right on a screen. i'm even in some of them a little from 25 years ago when i was about 3. i was funny, running around asking to go swimming in the 'wake' (lake).
we made the 3 1/2 hour drive from my grandparents' to my aunt's in ft myers this afternoon. we're here until thursday, and then it's off to disneyworld for 2 nights. DUDE, I AM SO EXCITED!! i am, however, feaking tired of travelling. i just want to relax--no more planes, no more looong car rides. but them's the breaks, i guess. it's worth it to be able to spend time with family and take my little lady to disneyworld.
anyway, sorry this is so boring. this is the first time i've checked in since we left sunday and i just wanted to say 'howdy' and give you all a (lame) update. hope everything's well with everyone, and i'll check in soon with some disneyho!!
