We made it home without much more going wrong. I did manage to smack her head on the airplane when I was trying to get on. It was that damn snuggi again. She cried but it was more out of being woken up with a bash to the head than anything and was over quickly. We had great people helping us out all along the way and she slept for most of the first (2 hour) flight and the whole 4 hour second leg. Lesson learned, I need to get more sleep before I fly. Baby K is doing great. She got her first tooth on Father's day and has been fussy today but she's pretty well mannered considering. Here are a few shots of her face about 24 hours after the accident. The puffiness is gone now and it's all a big black bruise.
We went to see our pediatrician today and she says all is well. Thank god! It really could have been worse. Thanks for all the vibes mamas, the flight back was so much better than the way there. I hope you all had a great Father's day weekend! lm She is so sweet! Isn't it wonderful how they laugh? Good to hear that everything is okay. So glad to hear you made it home okay. I can't believe how big she is already. hugs to you and baby and dee. glad to hear she's OK. It seems like babies are made of rubber, don't you think?? She's super cute, I just love those big baby blues!
I'm exhausted just reading about it. But I'm glad Baby K is feeling better. She is such a cutie pie. And looks so happy, despite it all. Hope you are getting some rest now too. poor baby--BUT SO CUTE! Oh my goodness, that second pic is just priceless! She's sooo cute. I'm so, so happy she's okay, and that your trip back was good. she looks like she's doing great! thank crikey she's fine, it just sucks that you had to worry like that during your trip. they sure do keep us on our toes, don't they? monkeygirl and i leave sunday for florida and i'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be no surprises or emergencies!
