i'm exhausted

Submitted by sweetdumpling on Mon, 06/16/2008 - 10:37pm.

ok, i know why, i have a 6 week old, i get it. but seriously. i'm so tired. here is my situation today:

-paity is feeling sick, nothing serious, but she's got a fever and an attitude.

-lief is your typical 6 week old, he wants his mama. which i love, but when i've got to juggle (almost literally) a 2 year old and a 6 week old, it becomes a bit tricky.

-my house is a mess, as usual. i'm not overly concerned about it, i'd just like to get control of it. my bathroom is clean, which is important to me, but it feels like everywhere i turn there's something else to do.

-i'm moving in august. we're out of our house on the first, but we aren't moving until the 6th or so. so i have to have everything ready and sold or packed or stored as of the end of july. and i have no idea how i'm going to do that. i just know it has to be done.

-i'm still 210lbs, 50lbs away from where i was before lief was concieved. i know that it's totally normal, but it doesnt hurt any less when i try to get into my clothes and there's no chance, and the "maternaty" clothes that i have slide down and fit right under my flabby belly.

i'm sure there's more i'm just tired and need to rant.

this will pass. S was 2 when E was born & man, it was rough, but we got through it. You'll get through it! It'll be easier once you are settled in your new place, just hold on!

hi babe,

hang tight, like luna said - we've all done it, and it's hard to see the light through all the juggling, but i swear it's there!

keep going, and keep posting - i KNOW that you're doing an amazing job.

you're family is happy, healthy and everything is where it should be.

forever - your friend,

dc

p.s. i agree with everyone else = try to be patient (easier said than done) when it comes to your body shifting/changing post baby. we all know that it can take years for a woman's body to fully recover from child bearing/birth etc.

it took me the first year after mars was born to really take off - and even now, 7 years later, i'm finally settled into my new body.

life is good - things are changing as they should. keep going and keep us posted on how you're doing!

a friend of mine the other day said to me...the first 6 months are going to be the hardest...afterthat it'll all get easier. I cried when she told me that.

You can do it mama! I know you can. If you can, try to take a little time for yourself each day.

And in about 6 weeks or so, will you remind me of this? Smiling

I'm exhausted reading this, mama. You have a lot on your plate. I know it is easier said than done, but be easy and patient on yourself. You are an amazing mama. Things will fall into place one way or another. Huge hugs to you and I hope P is feeling better soon. Peaceful, restful, and tranquil vibes sent your way.
