Yes, TMI.

As I'm heading towards 30 weeks of preggoness...my whole pelvis feels as if it is conspiring against me. I'm all gimpy when I walk. At last visit, they said I was already 1.5 cm dilated at 29 weeks. Freaked me out, so bedrest is even more stringent. Nut I cannot completely lay dow all the time...I have to eat when DH's not here! All next week, he's in NJ on business...joy. He may end up missing a brithday at the rate this young'un is going. Did I mention he was head-down, +1 Station? Yeah. This August baby may very well his cousins, which were born June 13 and 14 ( also my grandfather's birthday)

So hold on lil peaches...just for Mama's sake...I'd like you to be in there for another four weeks, but I'll take what I can get.

Oh honey, thats nothing. I walk around 3, 4 centimeters dialated. Thats perfectly normal, so so normal. But the vagina pain isn't. How do I know? Because not alot of people knew what the hell I was talking about, but I hurt real real bad down there and by the time I deliver I am so used to seeing that fucker puffed up like a baloon its only after the babys born that I realised how swollen everything had gotten because its this non existant part of me, like a Barbie once again, flat and out of the way In birth pictures of me, theres one that I thought was the baby's head crowning, nope its all blown out swollen tender nine month hooha looking like a ripe cabbage. Owwww owwww owwww. I also felt sharp quick stabbing pains down there and quick intense tickles across what I can only guess was my cervix that just felt so wrong I'd jump every time it happened. I reamember towards the end when i would walk, I would get these terrible painful jabs that felt like I would get spontaneously stabbed in the crotch all of a sudden. i would ask other people and they would look at me amused and have no idea what i was talking about and look just as embarrased as i was. all i kept invisioning in my mind was this baby head and how i felt like it was hanging inbetween my legs already making everything tender and swollen and miserable. Last pregnancy, on top of everything else I got itchy, scratched and ripped open the skin a bit, which would try to heal and so then it would be itchy, so then i would scratch it which would rip open the skin, i tried creams which would make it feel slimy or burn, baths, diaper ointment- it went on for a couple months, and i finaly started pinching instead of scratching because it didn't damage the skin as much, and it ALWAYS happened like crazy in public. So, here I am the pregnant woman walking like a weirdo because every time I place a foot on the ground in sends weird vibrations to my nether regions, finding an area where i could attack my itchy crotch pinch style through my clothes. I have been busted so many times. Wonder if they thought I was a pervert?

Underwear was unbarable!

So yes, I understand poonanny issues. Smiling

Godspeed, sister ( but not too soon!)

it used to feel like someone was sticking a knife up my cooch. i called the midwife in a panic a couple times, but she said it was just nerve pain from all the pressure of monkeygirl's head. i used my fingers to check out the sitch down there and, sure enough, i could feel her head through me vaginal wall! FREAKY.

at 30 weeks along, my daughter 'dropped' and was head down, +1. and she wasn't born until 10 weeks later... on the actual 'due' date! they didn't check for dilation as early as 30 weeks, but i was 2 cms dited at 37 weeks. so if it makes you feel any better...sometimes our babies just get prepped way early, even though they plan on still hangin' out in utero for a while longer!

i know how uncomfortable you must be, though. i actually had bruising on my pubic bone because her head was pressed against it for 2 1/2 months! and i felt like i had to pee EVRERY SECOND of the day! i had some complications during delivery because she never turned and was born face-up, so i can pass on some words of wisdom from my midwife: spend 20 minutes a day on your knees with your butt in the air and your forehead on the ground. you'll feel a little stupid, but it'll waaaay decrease the odds that your little guy will get 'stuck' in the position he's in now and fail to rotate during delivery. i spent most of the end of my pregnancy sitting down and leaning back, which apparently is bad 'cause it makes the baby not want to spin around. so don't make the mistake i did! i hope your little guy stays put for at least a few more weeks, and i hope your discomfort eases soon! (ps-also try floating in a tub of warm water, that felt good for me because it was the only thing that took the pressure of my pelvis/pubic bone!)

less than 2 cm dilation is not uncommon for someone who has had several children - were any of your delivered vaginally? What makes a difference is if you are changing from day to day - dilating or effacing. I am sorry you feel so heavy - he is down low, and that can be irritating. The end of pregnancy is hard and annoying, especially if you have extra issues.

Amanda and Roman were very slow deliveries, but both vag!

Haylia was a very quick, very natural vag delivery after a 4 hour labor.

Emmett was an emergency c...and Aydun will be a c too...at 36 weeks d/t the classical incision from the last one Smiling

Hooha is one of my favorite terms for the female genitalia. I need to stop using it if I am going to be an Ob-gyn.
