tired mama in need of nap

sigh. i'm, um, EXHAUSTED. i can't think of any better word to sum it up.

it's a grey, rainy day outside, and it was yesterday, too. i want some sunshine-y happy weather to give me some energy!

my job (full-time nanny) is catching up to me; taking care of someone else's kids is just as hard (harder, in some ways) as taking care of my own. i keep reminding myself: at least i get paid to raise these ones!!!

my house is a freaking mess. i have't done a 'real' housecleaning in, uh, two months, i think. i pick up a little sometimes, but i need to mop and scrub and polish and whatnot, and i just don't have the time or energy to do it!

being a mama has been exhausting for the last couple days, too. MORE exhausting than usual, i should say. i've been breathing a sigh of relief at 7:30 when monkeygirl hits the sack, and then i've been asleep by 9 for the last few nights! what am i, ninety years old??

i need to start doing yoga again. it won't help the desparate desire i have right now to nap like a toddler, but i was feeling so good when i was going to yoga a few times a week, and this week i'm so BLAH.

the little ones i watch are napping right now, and i'm jealous. so who feels like coming over to do my job for me for a couple hours while i take a snooze in their parents' king sized paradise of a bed????

ADDED 2 HOURS LATER:

i was forced to wake up a little when the kids informed me that we were going to play 'pretend house.' i asked them all to pick who they wanted to be, and i love what their answers say about their personalities:

C, girl age 6: "I'm the mom, and I'm going to work."
L, girl age 6: "I'm 14."
A, boy age 4: "I'm the dad and I'm mad cause you guys all made a mess."
M, girl age 3: "I'm the bad guy!" (as she jumps on the bed and makes laser noises with her fingers pointed into a fake gun)

and guess what they decided i would be? the baby, haha! i crawled around and said 'gaga, i'm hungry! googoo, change my diaper! gaga, play with me!' and guess what the kids said?
they told me i was TALKING TOO MUCH!! hilarious.

I went to bed last night at 10:30, but it was NOT early enough - I've been exhausted all day... all week! This evening my husband told me I should go to bed when our little guy goes down (9PM). LAME. But I probably do need it. I also need to find out what to do about the fact that my upper eyelids have been swollen and itchy for about a week now and I suddenly have killer dandruff! Ah, the beauty of pregnancy.
The yoga sounds like an excellent idea! Something just for you that is also very good for you.

I've been passing out when the kids go down. It's lame. I feel like an old lady.

Love what happened with the kids though, priceless!

Not whiny at all, part of motherhood I think, and someone else's kids on top of it!
