home improvement DIY style

so i love my bedroom furniture, my mama bought it for us as a wedding gift. well, that and she paid for the wedding, making the furniture kind of a bonus gift, just some cute target home furnishing items.
anyway, it has a weird finish that gets finger prints on it and annoys the shit outta me. so i decided to do something about it...

wondering if you put some shellac or something over them to keep them from getting smudgey, or are the already "slick"? DD12 is inspired. We have an ugly armoire that could use such a face-lift!

i did the armoire one first and used matte mod podge, which bubbled up like a motherfucker, and i hate how it looks in the light.
the dresser i more wisely did with spray adhesive. idiot, i shoulda started out with what is SIMPLE, but that really isn't my style in general. haha.
