I'm an LMP, and massage is great through pregnancy, but try to find someone who specializes in pregnancy massage, and maybe even has one of those belly pillows. Also, I got a pt referral from my midwife for run-of-the-mill hip pain, and they can do a little massage, too. Enjoy!

DH paid his way through grad school as a CMT and said that as far as he was told in school it was ok until the end of pregnancy. He said that at the end it's hard to get you comfortable on the table, but there were no contraindications raised by the people who taught that portion of the classes.

Remember that you are unique, just like everyone else.

you are really only supposed to avoid them during your first trimester, according to my massage therapist, who is also a doula. i had several throughout my 2nd & 3rd trimester-- including the night before DD was born. they were the best thing ever, and money WELL spent! i also scheduled one for about four weeks after DD was born, but ended up moving it to three weeks because i couldn't wait that long.
