Cool! I never go to shows here cause they never coincide with days I have childcare... when the kids are away nothing is playing... or if its something I would take the kids to, its in a 21 and over venue. Its like a curse! Next week I get to see a bunch of shows during CMJ, which will be nifty; I'm going to get my live music fix for a whole decade in four short days.
I am so jealous about the CMJ thing! I've been aching to go for years and years and years.
I only have been able to go to shows in the last two months, since we moved here. There is the best music venue between Atlanta and DC a short walk from my house, so all the cool bands stop there. Of course, I have to go alone, because my husband and I take turns with the childcare duties.
CMJ looks really overwhelming now that I have checked out more of the schedule - they alphebetize the bands and I only made it to "D" before I had a headache! Seems way more cool to have the setup you have with a venue within walking distance ....
