Well I fought back! And thanks to all my bitching we are going to get a new hot water heater and furnace and new carpet in the bedroom! Yay! My actual insurance guy is meeting with me at the house to inspect the damage. He seems nice, but They are all snakes. He is coming over to determine if there is cabinet damage??? Gee they sat in water for at least 10 hours, you think there is damage??? Anyways thanks again for the support mamas.

Hey ladies. I picked out replacement flooring last week, but they would only pay for replacement linoleum (sp). And since it was so old each room was priced differently. I managed to finagle them to put the nicest stuff in the kitchen and the cheaper in the back room. They won't pay for any of the carpet, only to clean it. But we did discover beautiful old hardwood in the living room, and it does not need to be refinshed...well so far what we have seen of it. So we will be tossing the LR carpet. They will paint the bedroom and the kitchen, so I am picking out colors for those rooms.--read more >>

Well we are still waiting for the agent to get an adjuster to come out. We had a company come and dry the place out, so we are just waiting for the company to be done there. I am feeling pretty good about the whole thing now, at least our place will get to be newer and shinier, by the time we get to move in. KWIM? I am just thanking out lucky stars cause the kitchen really was really ugly anyways. I just want to shoot out a big thanks for everyone's love and support. I really appreciate it. Thanks

Well it looks like they hung out in the house for awhile, but were not smart enought to start in a smart place, say like the basement. They started in the kitchen and cut the copper there, then they went to cut from the washer hook up and did not know that all the water was not shut off, cut those pipes and then water shot out at them, spraying the cabinets, ceiling and floor,( I have this stupid vision of someone being sprayed with water) They then must have freaked out and broke another window ( left a handprint!) I am sooo excited. We take possesion at 5pm. I can't believe that it is finally done with. I am dying to plant stuff in the ground. Bunnies in my yard keeping eating my squash seedlings. DAMN BUNNIES! We have fencing and are going to plant the garden this weekend! HOORAY! thanks for all the support mamas, these have been crazy weeks for me. Now all we need to do is move in! I will do some big crazy HO-ing in a few days.

Times are hard ladies. Today, I walked to the store(big deal for me) instead of driving. I baked bread and we are skipping meat in our food tonite. I was thinking of taking the bus to the library, but the stop is really far from us.
I already plan meals far in advance and skrimp where I feel like I can.
BTW the walk made me feel freaking great! How about those endorphins.

1. We are flat broke and don't know if we have enough for our closing
2. I have not sold a lot of jam lately
3. The stress of it all is seriously affecting my relationship
4. Instead of being supportive I have been lashing out at DH.
5. DS is acting badly as a result of all of this.
